Just Arund the Corner

Mothers Day
My nephew turns 3
My Mom's birthday
Isaiah turns 6
Adam's birthday
All of these events are just around the corner (we have a busy month ahead of us)and I am starting the search for gifts. Right now I am working on Mother's Day. I love to find a gift with meaning or something I know they will love. While searching I have come across some pretty nifty ideas.

Inhabitots shows you how to turn a picture into a stencil to customize a shirt. They used the kiddos, but you could use anything. A pet, your mom's favorite activity, a city scape, anything! You could also do this on any article of clothing it doesn't have to be a solid color shirt.

Photojojo offers a great idea for those who live far away from your mothers.
They call it 'A Day in the Life of You'. Start taking pictures as soon as the alarm goes off and keep snapping all day long. Don't leave out any of the small stuff - in other words let your mom in on who you work with, what you pass on the way to work, even the seat you eat dinner in etc, etc etc. Make sure to label everything and send it to her. If you have a little extra time you could even turn your pics into a flip book or photo book at Snapfish.
Live close to mom but like the photo book idea? Then do some of her favorite places or people or places and people! Scarf some of her old photos, scan them in, and make a book from those.

Last but not least I found this lovely necklace from Below 14th
No two hearts are identical and every heart is hand-drawn then sawed and filed by hand. What a great way to capture the initials of children or grand babies. Adam, if you are paying attention - I love these little charms! ; )
