What I have been intending to post

Now that I have a few free moments, I want to post some things I have not had a chance to yet. Both Elijah and Isaiah have started school and we are now in full swing. (With the exception of this past weekend.)

Elijah's first day of school started out great and he was very excited to be in first grade. However, he missed the bus and had to go to the Principal's office to wait for the bus driver to come back. Then a fourth grader took the stickers he was saving for Daddy. We had a talk about paying attention to the teachers at the bus area and another talk about letting the bus driver know what is going on in the back of the bus. Now that he is a bit more confident it has been smooth sailing. He comes home every day exhausted and "just wants to watch a little T.V."

Isaiah was also very excited for school to start and couldn't understand why Elijah got to start before him. I haven't decided yet if he was excited for school, or to wear his new "school shoes". He was saving them for the first day of school and would not wear them a moment sooner. The first thing he told me when I picked him up was "I didn't get in trouble by myself at all." When I asked him who he got in trouble with he just said "Mom!". Then he said "Well, Tanner and Me did listen to the teacher." Tanner is his cousin and his best friend and they have been known to be a bit mischievous at times. By the time I got him home he was nearly asleep in the car. He managed to walk himself into the house and take off his shoes, but that is all the farther he got. My little pre-schooler actually fell asleep on the steps!

Poor Josiah misses his brothers while they are gone and gets very excited for their return home. He doesn't seem to mind the attention of being the only one home though. His new favorite game is for me to chase him all over the house and then pretend I don't know where he is hiding. This is his favorite hiding spot.
