The boys all got hair cuts last night. Elijah and Isaiah wanted to show everyone thiers. Thank you to Monica who took the time to come over and give all my boys a new do!

An Inconvenient Truth

If you watched the Oscars Sunday then you saw, of all people, Al Gore win one of the shiney statues. His documentary film "An Inconvenient Truth," chronicles his campaign against global warming; something he has been very passionate about for years. The next day, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research issued a statement saying Gore was not doing enough to reduce his own electricity consumption. The group disputes that global warming is a serious problem.

"We wanted to see if he was living by his own recommendations and walking the walk," said think tank president Drew Johnson.

Utility records show the Gore family paid an average monthly electric bill of about $1,200 last year for its 10,000-square-foot home.

The Gores used about 191,000 kilowatt hours in 2006, according to bills reviewed by The Associated Press. The typical Nashville household uses about 15,600 kilowatt-hours per year.

The group said that Gore used nearly 221,000 kilowatt hours last year and that his average monthly electric bill was $1,359. Johnson said his group got its figures from Nashville Electric Service. - time.com

Now that sounds pretty inconvenient to me Mr. Gore

Life

This is Amillia Sonja Taylor, many of you may have seen her story in the news. She was delivered at only 22 weeks after conception. Full term is 40 weeks. I just wanted to show what a baby looks like at 22 weeks because in many states it is legal to abort a baby at 24 weeks after conception. How can they say it isn't murder?

Marriage

I just read this on msn. I am saddened that so many people actually want to be more like those in Hollywood and use the famous as their ideal of aspiration. I am sickened at the idea of living in sin being considered a 'dress rehearsal for the real thing' and of marriage being compaired to an 'institution with baggage'. I can only imagine how it must grieve our Lord. Has it ever occurred to these people that just maybe the divorce rate got so high because people have forgotten what marriage truly is? Marriage is not an institution with baggage, it is not an engine for losing ones identity, and it should not be considered as the old fashioned way of doing things.

So what is marriage? Marriage is a promise to God, to your spouse, and to the family you become. Did God not take the church as His bride? If people would start putting those things back in their definition of marriage, maybe the rate of divorce would go down and maybe people would start taking it more seriously again. Let's consider being less accepting of what marriage means and get back to what it actually is.

ahh girls!

Today Adam and I had so much fun. We got to borrow Rodney and Annette's two girls for the afternoon. It is a whole different day with girls in the house; I have NEVER had so much help with Josiah! Elijah and Isaiah had fun too. They showed Charis and Hannah the ropes of playing with action figures and Mario Cart. After that, all 4 kids dressed up in some pretty interesting costumes...

...and a good time was had by all!
Maybe one day we will get to know this joy everyday...

Snow Daze

I love the snow, but I am ready for life to get back to normal. I now understand why my Mom was ready to send us back to school after numerous days off! By the way, does this picture mean that I am a redneck?
