Drum Roll Please...

... for two reasons. First because my sister had a little baby girl this past weekend and I can't wait to put up the pictures I took! And second - a very literal drum roll. Adam decided to bring home his old drum set from his mother's house. The boys were all so excited they just had to put it together at 10:30 last night!

Josiah was banging away while Daddy and the big boys carried in the rest.
Waiting for Daddy.
Putting it together.
The jammimg begins! Apparently it is best to play in underwear.

Elijah didn't want his picture taken.

Finally it was Jojo's turn.

I blame this all on VBS. My boys absolutely loved the songs they played (Great job Chris!) and they were also thrilled that their Dad was the 'guy playing the drums'. They haven't stopped singing the songs since Friday and now they sing while they bang away on the drum set!

Hands Off!

If you have known me during any of my previous pregnancies, then you know I don't like it (or understand) when people reach out and touch or rub my belly. Yes, it is growing and yes there is a total miracle happening in my body. With that said - IT IS STILL MY BODY! I don't go up to you and touch your belly. Why is it that people think a pregnancy gives them free reign to rub a part of a woman's body they wouldn't dream of touching before? Especially if you are a total stranger!

Case in point: Just last week I walked into a store and the sales clerk asked how far along I was. I told her I was 16 weeks and she then proceeds to reach out her hand and touch my stomach. A total stranger! And she was touching a personal part of my body like it was perfectly normal and I had known her for years. As if that weren't bad enough she then says, as she is rubbing, "Wow your are really big for 16 weeks" How rude! So I say, "Well... this is my 4th child". She comes back with "Oh! You must have twins at home!" As if no one in this world would possibly want to have 4 children. I just said "No and actually I have three boys all under 7 and I don't really liked to be touched, but thank you for your help". Then I turned and walked out of the store.

So, I've been thinking I need to get a few shirts that let people know just how I feel. I looked around a little bit and I found some that would be perfect. Feel free to pick up any of these for me!!

This one works, but I would charge a heck of a lot more! The bottom says Some things money can't buy. For everything else, you need cold hard cash.

And my two personal favorites...

This one states how I truly feel: If you didn't put this baby in here then don't even think about touching my stomach.

Alpaca Days

As promised I am posting some pictures of the boys with the alpacas. Everyday we go out and "walk" Power Point. What we are really doing is getting him used to the halter and lead so he doesn't freak out at a show. This is Elijah's favorite part of the day and he is getting more comfortable too!

Power Point used to get away from him more often than not, now Lij is getting the hang of it!

Peanut still needs a little help, but does get brave enough to try it on his own every once in a while. However, today was not one of those times!

Jojo mostly likes to run after them and chase them. Today he was singing songs to them.

After we were done the boys went to play in the front yard and the alpacas got a little curious.

Well, maybe Power Point was VERY curious!

In other non-related news, I had my first sonogram today. They have moved my due date up to the 6th of December and everything looks fine and on track. The boys got to come in with me and see the baby too. Elijah asked if it was just a head right now and Isaiah said he couldn't really see anything. They did hear and understand the heartbeat, though!

The Alpacas are Here!

This past Friday we took a trip up to the Butler farm where our alpacas were being boarded and we brought them to their new home!

Adam built the shed but he still needs to get the electric all hooked up so we can have lights and outlets. The alpaca's need fans running in all this summer heat, so for now we are running an extension cord from the house.

We also decided to get another bred female to add to our tiny little herd. She is 10 years old and has been a great producer. She has had 8 babies with no trouble and is due again in September. Her name is Olympia and we are very excited to see what her cria (baby) will look like in the fall!

This is Consequences, but we have been calling her Connie. She is due in the middle of July, so we are very excited and a little nervous about next month!

Here is our little guy, Power Point. He was a year old on Friday and he is a sweet boy. We will be taking him to shows this fall and next spring. Elijah loves to have his halter and lead put on so he can walk him around.

They seem to have adjusted and are enjoying their new home. They especially like watching the boys play in the front lawn.

The boys are having a blast and even enjoy coming out to help with the chores! I haven't gotten any pictures of that yet, but when I do you know I will be posting them!
