Alpaca Fashion

This morning I was perusing the latest Alpacas Magazine. In this edition they are featuring the newest alpaca fashion. There was so much I wanted! I have a bit of a cold today and I just kept thinking how nice it would be to wrap up in one sweater or another with a big cup of tea. Anyway, I got excited and decided I should share!

These beauties came from Helen Hamann where you can actually buy the garment or the pattern to make it yourself.

The next two are from Blue Sky Alpacas

BCP Alpaca Designs offers some amazing alpaca fashion that you must go check out. I'm talking everything from sweaters and wraps to suits and evening dresses. I think she even has a wedding dress. So pretty!

I also found some things on etsy that are more affordable. This hat is from WindmillHillArtisans

A sweet little sweater set for a new baby girl from prussruss12

And a cozy cape from mizoozim

hmmm... my birthday is just around the corner...

Introducing...

JUDAH MICHAEL THOMPSON

He was born Dec. 2, 2008 at about 8:30pm after 13 hours of labor and then a c-section. He weighed in at 8.13 and was 21 1/2 inches long. It has been a long week, but we are finally home and doing very well! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and for your e-mails and text messages. We all feel very loved and amazingly blessed! Enjoy the slide show!

For the Love of the Tree

Never have I had an artificial tree. Never. This year was to be no exception - though my husband tried desperately! Last night we went out in the freezing, pouring, rain to get a real tree. It had to be done last night because I would never take a new born out in the cold to tree hunt. The boys had a blast - Adam not so much. Anyway, it was dark and cold and raining and very hard to tell what exactly the boys had picked out for us this year. After letting it dry out all day we did get it decorated tonight; just in time for delivery day!

Josiah refused to put on clothes and actually stripped again after I got him dressed. It's a lost cause with him unless we have to go out of the house!

So anyway, keep us in your prayers tomorrow as we go in to have this new baby. I am a little nervous and very anxious! I will post pictures for all to see after we get home. Oh, and hopefully by then he will have a name!

Duct Tape

These gifts are wrapped in paper bags with duct tape ribbon and bows. I started this post thinking I would only blog about the bows. However, that changed when I was looking for a picture to illustrate the many colors duct tape actually comes in. It's over 30 and you can even buy glow in the dark.

Anyway, that is where this post took a turn. While looking for the perfect picture, I kept running into photos of real people who actually used duct tape to create Prom dresses and tuxedos. So naturally, I had to bring them to you. The whole thing is wrong on so many levels! Who even has the time?

More Photoshop Fun

I love photo friendly time wasters and today I found another one. FaceinHole has a ton of pictures to choose from and many of them are celebrities or movie posters. You can turn your creation into a gift too. This site will make your new picture into a t-shirt for you for $20. How fun! These are some I did quickly today.

This is my favorite!

Remember This?

Back in October you may remember I wrote about an ornament exchange I was taking part in. I finally sent out my ornament last week to Illinois. I hope the intended recipient got it and truly likes it! I also just received one yesterday. It came from a woman who lives in Mississippi and the actual ornament is from St. Thomas.

This is the one I sent. I used an old light bulb for the body, painted it white and added the rest with my glue gun. I love making these and had a lot of fun doing it for someone I have only 'met' through a blog!

This is the one I received - very cute!

34 shopping days until Christmas! 11 days until New Baby Thompson!!!!!
