Pawleys Island Slide Show

This is from our first week at the beach with my family. I will post another slide show later from some of the activities we did during the week.

We're Back!!

After spending 11 days at the beach and 2 in the car traveling, we are back home. I am happy to report that after getting much worse I did get better. I think I had strep. Not much fun at the beach. I am also happy to inform you that Josiah is better also. No more diaper rash - praise God! My mom and my sister brought the medicines that made the difference for Jo Jo and me. Thanks guys!

Anyway, we had so much fun and the weather was perfect vacation weather. I think it only rained one time during the day while we were down there. The boys had a blast playing with their cousins and getting to see some of their favorite adults everyday. Elijah said he would like to move there after we came home and got his Nintendo and Isaiah said he never wanted to leave. I kind of know how they feel! Pawleys Island is a beautiful, easy going, slow paced beach town. The actual beach is perfect for small kids. The waves are not huge and the slope of the sand is very gradual. At low tide pools of water form on the wet sand making the perfect play place for babies. The sand is soft and the water is so warm; I hated to leave but school starts Wednesday.

Martian Death Flu

As many of you know we are heading for South Carolina on Saturday. I would love to report that I am nearly done packing and everything is set and ready to go. I can't. I can't because I am as sick as can be and feeling horrible; I somehow contracted some sort of Martian Death Flu. My throat feels like it is on fire and my whole body is achy and tired. I just don't think it is fair to have a sore throat in 95 degree weather. On top of it all Josiah is also not feeling well. He is getting his second eye-tooth and is miserable. He has a hard time when teething and this one is no exception. Runny nose, swollen gums, diarrhea, bad diaper rash, and no real appetite. He is whiny and cranky and mostly just wants to be held. Please pray for us. Please pray that we would feel better and that I might some how be able to finish packing.



Also pray that no one else in my family gets this. Not only my husband and kids, but we will be sharing a beach house with my Mom and Dad, my Sister and Brother-in-law and thier two kids, as well as, my other niece and nephew and my Sister-in-law. Please also pray for safe traveling mercies for my family.

Our New Aquarium...

In honor of going to the beach at the end of the week, Elijah, Isaiah and I made our own little aquarium on the sliding glass door. It took us all morning, but we had a ton of fun tracing, coloring, cutting and glittering!
